Stayed May 6-9th and was pleasantly surprised. We planned a last minute trip. Booked on Expedia and got a decent price. Hotel is a boutique so no restaurant or spa but is a great place and would stay again. We got in very early in the am from our flight from the states and took the underground to Knightsbridge station. Showed up at the hotel about 4 hours before check in time. We asked if any rooms were ready and there weren’t unfortunately. We dropped our bags off and hit the town and Hyde Park. Weather was great. The hotel called around 12 noon letting us know our room was ready two hours early. The location can’t be beat for what we wanted: shopping area, museums and close to the sights. Price was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are many local markets(Sainsburys, M & S) with great prices for healthy food on the go and great eat in places on the cheap like EAT and Pret A Manger. Multiple coffee shops as well. All these were within 4 blocks of the hotel. Hotel also accommodated us several times with hot water for coffee and a mini fridge both at no charge. Collapse

I've returned in this hotel for the 5th time for a brief business travel, and as for the previous experiences I got very comfortable. The hotel has small spaces (as typical of British houses) but very well-kept and clean . Also the rooms are small but comfortable. In particular I appreciated the comfort of the bed. Breakfast is excluded from the price and you can choose among three different typologie with different prices, and most important you can choose whatever you want. The breakfast can be served in the room or in the lounge, and I always prefer the lounge as I love sitting on the sofa, drinking coffee looking outside the big window with the sun coming in (when present ;-) ), or reading newspaper or having a good conversation. It is certainly an expensive hotel, but for the excellent service and the peerless location (it remains 5 minutes walking form Knightsbridge Tube station, in the heart of London, on the Picadilly Line - the one that arrives directly from Heathrow Airport - with no need to change.) I certainly recommend it. Collapse
Good location for Harrods and Sloan Street

Booked a night here in a Junior Suite. I don't think I will waste the money again, it was more of an elongated room than a suite. The bathroom was very basic indeed, and for the money paid was a definite let down. The staff were extremely nice, and room service was exceptional - although a kettle in the room would be better than having to call reception for drinks each time. Breakfast was served in the room and we loved it. Overall it was pleasant, but not good value in my opinion. Collapse

This hotel was booked on price v location as a I needed a hotel not far from the museums. The lobby is very well appointed and excellent greetings from staff. As is always the case with hotels in former Victorian houses, everything is a little closed in, but the décor makes the best of making everywhere light and airy. The room, whilst not large, was reasonably well appointed. From a business perspective, the desk was too small to comfortably work for long periods, but I managed. The bathroom had a number faults - not major, just niggles, which you would think would be sorted quickly - screws in the wall sticking out, glass holder loose on the wall etc. But these are not big things, just worth pointing out. I did not take the breakfast but this is usually served in the room or the lounge area of required, there is no formal dining. Alcohol is available from the lounge on an honesty system, you just take what you want and write it down and soft drinks (Coke, Fanta, water, etc) are all free. Not a bad place, and £20 a night less would make this much more in keeping with expectations, although the location is probably worth that to some people. Collapse

This hotel is fantastically located in the heart of Chelsea, directly behind Harrods, very close the tube stations, lovely restaurants and high end designer shops. The room itself was comfortable. We were on the 5th floor and the lift is tiny; only accommodates 2 people or one person with luggage. It's a little claustrophobic! Alternatively, you can take the stairs but they are narrow and steep and I fell down them because they are uneven, which is no surprise for an old traditional building. There is no room service, but you can have breakfast, which was lovely, albeit a bit over priced. I would stay again for the location :-) Collapse
