Hotel it's self is ok the studio family room we had was nice only thing is its way to hot in the rooms could do with air con in them. They gave us a fan when asked but made not a lot of diff . Also they could do with plugs next to The bed . The shower is lush so powerful and the beds are soft . The big let down is the food here we ate in the brassiere and it was expensive and the food was horrible the breakfast is just left out on a self service not what u expect for £15 it's all dry left out under heat . And wow the coffee is shocking in big flask things it was cold when we had ours by the time u add the milk . We decided to find a restaurant out of the hotel the next night . But other than that it's a pleasant ok hotel pool was nice but I think that's what gives it the 4* having a spa. Collapse

Hotel is in a decent location, employs good staff. Just a shame they have no clue about service. Room - if I wanted to sleep in a hammock I'd have book a room on a ship. How old are these beds as they have no support what so ever? There is no A/C in the rooms so it was essential to have a windows open. This would be fine except the local youths seem to congregate at the fire assembly point I the car park facing the open window and shout at each other. Had to call reception at 12:30 am and again at 01:15 to get them to move the people on. I guess you realise this ruined my nights sleep having been woken up twice. Bathroom - no working lights in the shower. The photo may explain why as it was safer for the hotel to disable them than electrocute a customer. Dinner - Long wait times, lots of dishes off from the menu and kitchen staff that can't make mash without lumps. When I say lumps I mean the size of pebbles! Reception - appeared sympathetic but did nothing to resolve anything other than offer the general manager business card. My advice is to steer clear of this place. Collapse

Spent a week in the hotel and I have to say the premier inn is a better option , poor house keeping , staff are willing to sort things and pool ect made the hotel bareable, 4 star I don't see any thing that makes it 4 star , Caution with the hotel food half menu missing and orders come out incorrect , Chef seems to fling out orders out and not the quality you see on web site . Room very out dated small 20 inch TVs Road noise sound like your at a race track sometimes Collapse

The hotel seems to have been newly refurbished especially on the 4th floor where we were accomodated, which was very nice. The hotel was extremely busy on Friday evening at check in but the process was very professional and quick. Unfortunately we had issues in the restaurant but this was reported to the general manager who was more than helpful to resolve our issue. Breakfast on Sunday morning was again very busy but it seemed the staff could not keep up.. a lot of time items from the buffet were missing leaving customers waiting/wanting. These issues definitely wouldn't stop me from stopping at the hotel again if we were in the area. Collapse
Definitely not 4*!

Lobby was lovely, the staff are lovely and the pool and spa is lovely, that's about it. Rooms are dated, beds are uncomfortable, the sheets are too small for the bed, the 'sofa bed' was basically a cushion on the metal frame, my brother was given 1 pillow for the sofa bed, the bathroom is dingy, there was old crisps underneath the sofa bed, no plugs by the bedside, no air conditioning in the rooms, had to get the maintenance guy to open the window, constant noise from other guests, (door slamming, shouting) the staff seemed completely overwhelmed, lots of staff placed where it was empty, and minimal staff placed where it was very busy. No sugar placed in the rooms to go with morning tea/coffee. Smallest tv in the world hung on the wall. Just overall so out of date, in serious need of some TLC. Dirt gathered in the corners of the carpet, almost as if cleaners thought they could hide the dirt with the furniture. 100% would not come here again. Completely confused as to how this hotel got a 4 star rating. Collapse
