The Albion Hotel is considered one of Miami Beach’s Art Deco masterpieces, and is often described as ‘a luxury ocean liner on dry land’. With this in mind, the hotel is an excellent choice of accommodation for those who wish to explore the local area at their leisure, and it’s only steps away from Ocean and Lincoln Road. Soak up the sunshine on South Beach, explore the Port of Miami or absorb the culture at the world-renowned Rubell Family Collection; a contemporary art museum just 15 minutes away from the Design District.
All of the guest rooms at the Albion hotel are light and spacious and offer a host of additional facilities to ensure you have a great stay. Each room comes complete with premium bedding, complimentary Wi-Fi access and a full-sized bathroom with cucumber-scented bath products. In-room dining is also available.
After a busy day of exploring the local sights, head to The Albion Café for a tasty dish or sip on a cool drink in the popular Fallabella Bar. The hotel is also home to a heated outdoor pool and fitness centre.

We have just returned from our weeks stay at the Albion and we have to say that we were concerned after reading some of the reviews. This is an honest account of this hotel, the room which was classed as a deluxe was plenty big enough, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower worked well. But the place lacked care and is a bit worn so lets hope that the refurbishment extends to all the rooms. The staff were ok, but didn't seem to add anything, booked an alarm call on the day of our Key West trip but didn't get it, thankfully not a problem though as we were awake in time. But our surprise was the live music and the bar being open until 3am. We didn't see that advertised anywhere on the website so it came as a bit of a surprise. We also weren't informed about the renovations before we booked so those things are why we have marked it as average, such a shame because it is a beautiful building so we feel that the Management and the staff could do better. Maybe instead of greeting a guest with "we need to put a charge of $200 on your credit card" it might be worth trying to tell the guest about the facilities that are on offer, such a breakfast, the restaurant and indeed the live music and the bar. We had a great time in this amazing city but it could have been better. Collapse

I booked this hotel on behalf of my client as it looked okay for what he was after.... Since booking I have been advised that the pool is under renovations during his stay... (which is fine) and that the hotel will offer a refund. Being so close to travel, all the nearby hotels are twice the price so I emailed the hotel to see if they can offer some kind of compensation to my client if he still stays at the hotel, or if they have an agreement with another hotel pool?? Its been over two weeks and I have had no response at all... just hung up on when calling and told to email an address which doesn't reply. My wholesaler also tried getting in touch and nothing from the hotel. Terrible customer service - I will not be recommending this hotel ever again. Collapse

I have been a guest at the Albion for many years, however it is now noticeable that hotel maintenance is being neglected and has deteriorated over time The hotel is strategically located nearby the Lincoln Mall street with restaurants and bars, so location is one of the best possible However maintenance and service aren’t what used to be Paint in the rooms and common areas is flaking away Mirrors in the room are rusty Bathtub is all chipped Carpet in the rooms is rather dirty Black water is often coming out of the tap (see pictures) Toilet flush lever was broken the first day and still broken after a week Many of the swimming pool chaise lounges are ripped Most the pool beach umbrellas are broken One of the two elevator was out if service the entire week I was there Given that there are 6 floors and tons of room... waiting 3-4min for the only working elevator is normal WiFi is really, really bad. Very slow when working but often disconnecting or unresponsive Receptionist doesn’t seem to care very much for such issues also when reported... and nothing happens Overall it isn’t what used to be. Only location saves it Collapse

We booked a deluxe room at the hotel via Virgin Holidays in the UK for four nights prior to a cruise. We only stayed two out of four nights as the hotel put us up in one of their petite rooms rather than than the deluxe room we had booked and paid for. We asked for a larger room immediately after we had seen the room but were told they were sold out and did not have any other rooms available. We checked our reservation details on day two to verify that we had indeed booked a deluxe room. We contacted Virgin Holidays who were very helpful. My terrible rating is a combination of being put in a smaller room than we had booked and paid for by the hotel and the overall experience during our two night stay. Location: the location is excellent and there is a CVS across the street and many restaurants within a ten minute walk. Check-in: the experience was adequate and quick as there was no other people checking in at the time. Room: as mentioned above we had booked a deluxe room but were put in a petite room (which retails for much less than we paid). The room was tiny and had a small bed (not big enough for two average sized adults to sleep comfortably). There was a small walk in wardrobe with a safe and a small bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a large TV with fair number of channels. The room was in a poor state of repair. Please see the attached photos. WiFi: the hotel has complimentary WiFi and it was fine for complimentary WiFi. Breakfast: we did not have breakfast at the hotel. Overall: the walkway close to the bar stinks and the elevators appear to need some TLC as they made a lot of noise and one of them was out of order most of the time. There is a pool and a nice courtyard. The courtyard was a redeeming feature as the rest of the hotel seemed a bit run down. The service provided by staff we encountered was average. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience. Collapse
