The hotel San Gil is a good hotel set in a quiet area of Seville. Our room was well appointed and spacious meeting our expectations fully, although there was no coffee making facilities in the room. The reception was great with pleasant staff. One excellent service was the car parking service, a.though difficult to find a space outside the hotel to offload any luggage. The restaurant was ok but a little soulless. Food well cooked but a little expensive. All in all a good stay and would be happy to return. Collapse

We stayed here for three nights. We asked for a disabled room and this was supplied the room was large with a decent size bathroom (in this case wet room) with plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. The room was cleaned every day towels changed and toiletries replaced as needed. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with hot, cold, cereal, fruit, pastries And even cake with unlimited tea, coffee and even Carva. If you left hungry it was your fault. The mini fridge was not to badly priced if you where desperate. And the in room safe is a nice touch. On the minus side people were very noisy in the courtyard at night and on leaving in the mornings. The room was in need of some updating. Bedside draws would be better than glass tables. A kettle would have been nice and more than one channel in English on the tv not hard in this day and age. The hair dryer had a huge crack in it. Just little things really. Would I go back? We stayed for 3 days, very clean rooms.staff were friendly, breakfast good, you need to run the hot tap for a couple of minutes for hot water to come through. The hotel is behind the old city walls and very quite, its a good 20 min walk down cobbled streets to the centre so you need to be steady on your feet.nice courtyard for drinks or food. We used the Spanish Uber called Cabify great value and superb cars and drivers highly recommended for example if you use it from the Airport it's half taxi fare, you need to enter your national insurance number to register. Used this hotel for 3 nights. Located out of the centre but an easy 20 min walk into main area (near Cathedral). We requested a quiet located room before we arrived and we were lucky that’s what we got. Hotel immaculately clean and rooms have everything you need (apart from kettle but think you can ask for one). Lots to choose from at breakfast. We liked the roof terrace area which was lovely to have a peaceful picnic lunch in the sunshine. Collapse

We stayed over New Year for 6 nights. We found the hotel to be quite charming, the room a little small, but lets face it, it's just a base for seeing the city. Positioned up in the Macarena district, it is only a 20 minute walk into the city through lovely little streets. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops to look at on the way! Very near a bus stop for the tourist bus which we did on day 1 to get our bearings, Breakfast is ok and has lots of choice - the only down side was the state of the scrambled eggs which they seem to cook to rubber!! Nofried option, but there was plenty of other food. If you're looking for a full english this is not the hotel for you! The courtyard is delightful, and we sat outside with a glass of sangria most evenings. We even visited the roof top swimming pool while we were there, as the weather was lovely. The best part of the hotel was reception, and I have to give a special mention to Jose who was the most helpful person we've met. He helped us with checking timetables, booking tickets, and gave us all information we needed for our visit. The other people were excellent too, but it was always Jose who helped us! The bar is just a little one at the side of reception, but the bar staff are excellent and helped us with our Spanish whilst serving us emormous (by our standards) gins! All in all a super hotel in a good location so long as you don't mind a little walking. Collapse
