Weekend in Glasgow

Stay Date: 05/05/18, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

The staff at the Hallmark Hotel have to be the most friendly we have ever known in a hotel. Right from the reception check in to the restaurant and the spa they were all very friendly and helpful. See More  Read more information The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. The room could do with a wee bit of TLC but this in no affected our stay as the bed was comfy and the room very clean. The hotel is only a few minuteswalk to the city centre. We will use this hotel for any further stays in Glasgow.   Collapse  Hide

Great city break weekend

Stay Date: 09/03/18, a customer aged 65+ from United Kingdom who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Hotel was excellent, three course meal with a bottle of wine included wine alone would have cost £18.50 to buy at the hotel. Meal for two would have been about £70 - What a great weekend. The hotel See More  Read more information far exceeded our expectations.   Collapse  Hide

Glasgow break

Stay Date: 22/02/18, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Hotel is tired and bedrooms need brightening. The lounge / bar area was cold and lacked atmosphere. The evening meal was good but the breakfast lacked the same quality and choice. The location is a See More  Read more information little way out of the city centre area and lies towards the end of a re-generation development area. The Hop On Hop Off bus was an excellent way of getting to know Glasgow and the cafe / pub calledThe Butterfly and Pig served high quality food at a very reasonable price.   Collapse  Hide

Food was great with plenty of choice especially at breakfast, had a job choosing the only thing I could complain about was the tea/ coffee was not very hot, I think it might have been sitting outon the counter for a while, first morning was fine the next one, was lukewarm! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The price was very good for what you got, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and willcertainly be back, we would thoroughly recommend it anyone coming to Glasgow especially to the SECC or Hydro so handy.   Collapse  Hide

50th birthday surprise

Stay Date: 27/10/17, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

We were a group of 3 couples celebrating my partner's birthday. Due to the late arrival of the couple flying from London I didn't risk pre-booking the restaurant, so we ate in the bar area, which See More  Read more information had the same menu. However we couldn't have dessert because we were informed the kitchen was now closed. The walls of the bedrooms are very thin so one couple was kept awake by very noisyneighbours. Rooms were very clean. Fitness and pool area was good. Pity the Jacuzzi was out of action. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but be aware they require the exact money. We ended up using thetrain to get where we wanted to go but didn't prove to be best option. I would suggest sussing out bus numbers properly beforehand, and have change in your pocket. Overall it was a great weekend. Nicehotel and helpful, friendly staff.   Collapse  Hide
