Florence Skyline

Florence (Firenze), the epicentre of the Italian Renaissance, is the art-lovers favourite destination. Influenced by Leonardo, Dante, Machiavelli and Michelangelo, Florence is filled with fabulous architecture, museums and galleries. This compact city is the capital of Tuscany, a stunning province of hills, mountains and, of course, Chianti.

Ideal for a cultured and varied short break in gorgeous Italy, our hotels in Florence are perfectly placed throughout the city and range from affordable 2* properties to luxurious 4* accommodation.

Close by you can look forward to a wonderful range of interesting attractions, including:

  • Spot the iconic statue of David at the Accademia Gallery.
  • Enjoy a Food Tour of the local area and taste the best of what Florence has to offer.
  • Gaze at the glorious sunset from the popular Piazzale Michelangelo.
The atmospheric city of Florence is also awash with interesting museums to explore, such as the Duomo Museum. Be sure to browse the local markets for great food and souvenirs, and don’t forget to visit the colossal Giotto's Bell Tower.

Florence

Stay Date: 13/04/15, a customer aged 45-64 from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Malaspina Hotel in Florence wrote this review.

Florence is a beautiful compact city with lots of nice places to eat and plenty to see. The Palazzo Pitti was well worth a visit. We split it into two days which meant we saw all of it (too much for See More  Read more information one day). Santa Croce was also well worth a visit and good value.   Collapse  Hide

Very restful hotel in a manic city

Stay Date: 20/09/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Ellesmere who stayed at 4* Ambasciatori Hotel in Florence wrote this review.

Even though the hotel was situated across from the station it was completely soundproof. The room was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and perfect temperature. Having spent a few days See More  Read more information enjoying the rustic charm of the Chianti, it was actually so nice to experience some 4 star comfort before heading home. The hotel was ideally located for us to see a few of the main attractions of Florencein a very short time. Could easily walk to the centre which meant no time was wasted.   Collapse  Hide

Marathon trip in Florence

Stay Date: 24/11/12, a customer aged 25-44 from London who stayed at 3* Corona d Italia Hotel in Florence wrote this review.

After competing in the Florence Marathon, I'd worked up an appetite for the fantastic Tuscan food the city has to offer. Florentine T-Bone steak, perfect pasta and - of course - the amazing ice See More  Read more information cream. In the days that followed, my legs may have been tired but it was worth the exertion to stroll the halls of the Uffizi, climb il Duomo and wander the back streets until I'd gorged on art andarchitecture, as well as the food. And, at the end of each day, what better than to wander over the Ponte Vecchio to join the locals in relaxing with a prosecco in the Caffe Degli Artigiani in thechilled-out Oltrarno district of this fabulously atmospheric city.   Collapse  Hide

A Dream Fulfilled.

Stay Date: 24/07/10, a customer who stayed at 4* Palazzo Gaddi Non Refundable Formerly Boscolo Astoria in Florence wrote this review.

Florence is a truly beautiful city. It is steeped in history and a delight to the eye. The hotel was in a brilliant location....Just minutes from all the main sights and attractions. Don't miss the See More  Read more information amazing views of the city from the hotel rooftop terrace. My lasting momory will be that incredible picture of the Duomo, sipping amaretto as the sun set! Only complaint is the fact that our twin roomcosting £150 per night was small dark and shabby. The photos on your website led me to believe I was going to get quite a luxurious room. The rooms are described using language that suggestedopulence and superior standards. This was not the case. To conclude.....Room extremely disappointing, but holiday overall, fantastic.   Collapse  Hide

A Great Break in Florence & Pisa

Stay Date: 12/11/08, a customer from Solihull who stayed at 4* Palazzo Gaddi Non Refundable Formerly Boscolo Astoria in Florence wrote this review.

We spent 3 nights in a quality central hotel which enabled us to come back & relax after a long day sightseeing. Florence is a fabulous city especially if you love art but even the scenery & See More  Read more information Buildings are so worth going for. We moved on to Pisa for 1 night. There is not so much to see there apart from the tower & cathedral and it is run down compared with elegant Florence. Cheap flights enabledus to spend more once we got there as it is expensive.   Collapse  Hide
