Hotel Royal National is so convenient for Euston Station, and on several good bus routes. It has also had a makeover. Chester break

Stay Date: 24/03/14, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Chester wrote this review.

Blossoms hotel is in the very centre of Chester a lovely very old building with lots of character. Apparently the restaurant is due to have an upgrade to bring it up to date. The menu was quite See More  Read more information basic but the specials board was a fixed ?25 three course menu which was ok but nothing special to me! The first nights dinner was included in the Superbreak deal but you had to eat from this specialsmenu or have ?25 per head off the main menu. It would have been better just booking direct with the hotel as nothing was gained from booking through Superbreak. On the other hand the breakfast wasexcellent. The usual juices, cereals and fruit were self service. Your tea, toast and cooked breakfast were ordered at the table. Good quality, freshly cooked with any special requests. It was reallygood. Very central hotel right in the centre of everything. Parking in the nearby shopping centre a bit of a pain, especially when we arrived after the centre had closed and the only way out if the carpark was down the ramps. Awkward when you don't know where you are going. No signs for hotel anywhere and no one to ask!   Collapse  Hide
