A Night In Winchester

Stay Date: 03/02/11, a customer from Uk who stayed at 4* The Winchester Hotel and Spa in Winchester wrote this review.

The hotel was comfortable but the room was noisy - a fan or air conditioning unit on the roof made intermittent noises (like someone dragging a chair across the room) for most of the evening and See More  Read more information night. The hotel decor was dull, all browns and fawns, more suited to a business meeting than a leisure break. Winchester is lovely - lots to see and do - clean and tidy and well-cared for. The hotel waswithin walking distance of the town and railway station. The pub near the city bridge and mill, not far from alfred's statue, served excellent food at reasonable prices - forget its name!.   Collapse  Hide

2 Days In Manchester

Stay Date: 04/02/11, a customer who stayed at 3* Pendulum Hotel Manchester in Manchester wrote this review.

Hotel clean, comfortable with pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet-style,with ample selection, kept replenished. Room and bathroom good. Nearby student accomodation outside our window See More  Read more information resulted in interrupted sleep as they came rowdily home late at night, but noise was not prolonged. Impressed by salford quays apart from retail outlet mall. Enjoyed tram ride. Glad to see thatcathedral does not charge for admission like so many. Helpful welcomer told us about chethams library which we had not heard of and were delighted to visit. Enjoyed a browse round the excellent shoppingcentre and a stroll around the north quarter. Afflecks a disappointment in shopping terms but interesting. Loved the eye.   Collapse  Hide
