Edinburgh Short Break

Stayed at the George which was very friendly and comfortable. Edinburgh is in a bit of a mess due to the installation of a tram system, but it didn't spoil the trip. A lovely city. See More  Read more information   Collapse  Hide

Edinburgh Trip

Stay Date: 15/05/09, a customer who stayed at 4* Novotel Edinburgh Park in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Went to Edinburgh on a Superbreak Trip. Novotel outside Edinburgh. Chose this hotel for leisure facilities which were excellent. Absolutely first class hotel, would recommend it to anyone. Went on See More  Read more information the HMS Britannia which was a good trip and combined with a shopping expedition at the shopping mall. Great boat trip on the Firth of Forth, saw seals, a porpoise and puffins. Will definitely bevisiting Edinburgh again and will take other trips by the Superbreak again, but the train was delayed by half an hour going and the train booked was cancelled coming back so had to catch the London trainto Newcastle and change. Put lots of folk in a bad mood as they let everyone get on with their luggage and get sat down before they told everyone the train was cancelled because of no guard.   Collapse  Hide

Great Weekend In Edinburgh

Stay Date: 15/05/09, a customer who stayed at 3* Royal Scots Club in Edinburgh wrote this review.

The hotel was lovely and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately there was no lift (although I do believe there are plans to install one), this would improve things tremendously. Although they had a See More  Read more information dress code, apparently it only seemed to be my mother and I who adhered to it, there were several American tourists who turned up in their shorts and sandals for breakfast.   Collapse  Hide

Hotel staff were excellent, all extremely helpful and very courteous. Only fault was no face flannels in bathroom, and could have done with an extra block of soap. Otherwise, great hotel. The George Hotel, Edinburgh

Stay Date: 07/05/09, a customer who stayed at 5* Principal Edinburgh George Street in Edinburgh wrote this review.

You expect a certain level of blandness when you book into these big city centre hotels. However we were rather disappointed with The George Hotel. Our room, described as a "Superior" seemed to us See More  Read more information about the size of a standard; there was only one easy chair; the bathroom was tiny and the bed was just two twin beds pushed together. Housekeeping had forgotten to refill the hospitality tray and ourroom overlooked a back alley. We had a fabulous time in Edinburgh but expected a little bit more from a 4* hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice though and the choice at breakfast enough tokeep you going all day!   Collapse  Hide

Short Break in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 30/04/09, a customer who stayed at 5* Principal Edinburgh George Street in Edinburgh wrote this review.

The hotel, in George St was excellent. It has recently been done up and the double bedroom we had was enormous with a view of the castle.
