We stayed at the George Hotel, Edinburgh given as a gift. First time in the hotel and it was lovely. There was a few minutes wait before they found our booking and because of this they gave us See More  Read more information complimentary breakfast and drinks. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was lovely too. Good base for the New Town of Edinburgh - The Dome across the road from the hotel is spectacular. You canhave lunch, dinner or just drinks. We ate at a Thai restaurant in Castle Street recommended by staff. Fantastic stay at The Principal Hotel, George Street. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night - the food was great but it was quite chilly in the dining room. The room was excellent if a See More  Read more information little small but that didn't really bother us. George Street is a great location to stay. Really close to Waverley Station and everywhere else. We walked everywhere, including to Leith (about 50mins). The Royal Mile and Rose Street were favourites. Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location!

Friendly staff at the door to welcome you and help with luggage. Arrived about 20 mins before check in and our room wasn’t ready so the concierge took our luggage and we went for a quick coffee in See More  Read more information the hotel's coffee shop next door! Check in was quick and the luggage was delivered to our room. Beautiful room with a roll top bath and huge bed! Very clean and tidy and a little tuck shop with sweetsand treats a great touch after a long journey! Excellent night stay in Edinburgh
