Gerona located in the north-east of Catalonia is 7 miles north of Gerona-Costa Brava Airport. Throughout the ages the city has been occupied by Romans, Moors, Jews and Catholic communities. There are many historical sites including the Cathedral and the remaining city walls.
Ideal for young holiday makers, Lloret De Mar has a bustling main street offering restaurants, bars and all night discos. Amongst the rocky coastline there are five main beaches offering a range of water sports. Tossa de Mar’s 14th century castle overlooks the crescent shaped sand and shingle beach.
The northern end of the Costa Brava has small traditional towns which are highly fashionable. Roses is an important fishing port and tourist centre with ancient architectural ruins. Modern, cosmopolitan Platja d'Aro remains full of life all year round with its festivals and is a heaven for beach lovers.
