A Days Shopping In Chester

Stay Date: 15/01/07, a customer from Loughborough who stayed at 4* Hallmark Hotel The Queen, Chester in Chester wrote this review.

Chester is a Great place to shop with an excellent choice of shops for all ages .It is set amongst beautiful old buildings complemented by sympathetic modern development. The city centre is clean See More  Read more information and well maintained although the walk from the Queen Hotel to the centre does require the pedestrian to use the underpass to cross the busy roads ,this particulary made my wife uneasy as it is quiteshabby and intimidating and she felt she would not do this if alone. Chester and the shopping experience were made even more enjoyable because of the wide range of tea rooms ,cafes ,restaurants andbars etc .There was a wide range accounting for all tastes and pockets .This also applied to the evenings where we were spoilt for choice .   Collapse  Hide

Chester - Great Shopping and Eating Out

Stay Date: 24/02/07, a customer who stayed at 4* Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel in Chester wrote this review.

The gallery shops in the centre of Chester are a quirky and memorable experience. Lots of individual shops mixed with the usual high street chains. The number of places to eat to suit all budgets See More  Read more information makes Chester a worthwhile place to stop a while. The range of food available from all parts of the world is just fabulous. A walk around the city walls is a must for all. The city is quite small andyou get views of the many faces of Chester. There are interesting plaques informing you of what has happened through time. There are also plenty of places to stop and rest a while. Not always easyaccess for wheelchair users.   Collapse  Hide

Great day out to Chester

Stay Date: 02/12/17, a customer aged 45-64 from West Yorkshire who stayed at 3* Best Western Crewe Arms Hotel (2 Night Offer & 1 Night Dinner) in Crewe wrote this review.

The hotel was very poorly maintained as it was the weekend. Lift not working. Toilets blocked. Windows not sealed. No postcode for the hotel from Super Break or the hotel. Hotel didn't answer the See More  Read more information phone. Wrong order on the evening meal. Loud disco in the dining area. Radiator not working in our second room. Even the toilets in the bar area were blocked. Staff need to pay attention to othercustomers not just the ones on Christmas party or coach party. Over all my partners birthday weekend away was spoilt. We only stayed 2 nights and he wanted to come home on the first night. Not happy!   Collapse  Hide
