Central London Holiday Reviews

The London Eye, London Central

The UK's number one destination for shopping breaks, theatre shows, the finest restaurants and top attractions - the capital has it all. Choose from our superb range of London Hotels and find the perfect short break destination for you; enjoy the plush comfort of a hotel with Theatreland on your doorstep, stay within a stone's throw of the fab shopping of Oxford Street, or find a boutique hotel near the trendy Southbank and discover the best of the London attractions.

When booking hotels in London, it's important not to forget to order an Oyster Card - an essential buy for getting round the capital, use the London buses and underground to discover everything the city has to offer. With rail and attraction tickets easy to buy too, start planning your ultimate London break as soon as you book; get great views from the London Eye or The Shard, discover the city's history at The Tower of London or The Royal Palaces, or relax on a Thames river cruise or take high tea in the afternoon at an upmarket London cafe.

Sightseeing isn't the only way to make the best of your break. For an extra-special experience when you're booking hotels in London, enjoy a theatre break and take in a show in London's glittering West End - home to the finest theatres and productions in the world. If shopping is more your thing, check out the boutique stores of Mayfair and Kensington, the street-market chic of Camden Market and Britain's busiest shopping area on Oxford Street. For concerts and events, there's nowhere finer than London's O2 Arena for all the biggest names in music and comedy, and for international sporting venues too - Wimbledon, Wembley, Twickenham to name a few - the capital is the place to be.

Easter break in London

Stay Date: 14/04/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Imperial Hotel London in Russell Square wrote this review.

Booked a three night break in London. Chose the London Imperial Hotel. The hotel and staff are excellent. The hotel perhaps need a little TLC but it is busy. We had an 'executive' twin room. The See More  Read more information room was clean and well equipped, television a little small but you don't need it if you get out and about. The only down side was the air con plant droning away could be a problem in summer if you needto open the window. Breakfast was a buffet style with a choice of cereals, cakes, breads, cooked breakfast. The Atrium bar has a range of snacks and is reasonably priced. SuperBreak provide goodinformation and the tickets arrived well in advanced. A good idea is to get reserved seats for return journey.   Collapse  Hide

Easter weekend in London

Stay Date: 13/04/17, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* President Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

An enjoyable trip to London. Walking is a great way to get around but the underground is easy to use if you want to get about quickly. Easter weekend is clearly a busy one and museums and hotels get See More  Read more information very busy at this time. President Hotel provided adequate facilities for the grade it is advertised at. It's location is great for getting to from Euston - just a short walk - and catching theunderground at Russell Square is easy and the square itself is really nice to sit in and relax. Camden, Covent Garden, Soho and many attractions are close by. However, standard rooms are very small andfacilities basic but it was clean and if you are just looking for a hotel to sleep at, then it's fine. Breakfast was a little disappointing with no pastries, on offer - just bread rolls and toast. Onlytwo choices of fruit juice too. Hot breakfast was ok, plenty of it but sausages were rather unpleasant. I would describe the overall breakfast experience as 'chaotic' because even getting a hot drinkproved a challenge. I'd recommend room only and getting breakfast elsewhere, such as one of the nearby caf├ęs. Premier Inn breakfasts that I've had have been better. Staff were friendly but seemedstretched. Overall, I think I will try another hotel on my next London trip.   Collapse  Hide
