Bruges is a fabulous place to visit the shopping is excellant, the people in Bruges are so charming. I walked the streets at night on my own and felt very safe. Everyone is so friendly. Hotel has 27 rooms, staff were friendly and helpful. The glass door to the bathroom was not to our liking nor the showerhead which could not be angled and seemed to have a mind of its own. Tasted See More  Read more information the excellent beers and the food was of a very good standard, Bruges is very picturesque and we would certainly make a return visit. Brugge for a Short Break

Took eurostar from Ebbsfleet to Brussels then local train to Brugge. total travel about three hours. IBIS Hotel good location 15 minute walk from station. Hotel was clean and tidy and very good See More  Read more information service our room was above the restaurant a little noisy at the end and beginning of the day but not bad enough to make a fuss. Got a good guide from the tourist office with some nice gentle walks aroundthe town got to see some really nice parts. Some Cafes were very expensive 6 euros for a coffee so always ask how much before you order, thee is a little Carrefour mini mart which was very good valuenear the entrance to the hotel.   Collapse  Hide

Bruges was delightful, great bars, restaurants and coffee/waffle shops. Amazing selection of shops and lots to do - boat trip, choco story, segway, chip museum. wedidnt have time to do everything so are planning another trip in the spring.
