Plus don't forget that alongside hotels in Bristol we offer a wide range of extras to add to your booking, including rail travel and sightseeing tours.

Experience the legacy of the inspirational Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel at the SS Great Britain which was the first Ironclad steamer to cross the Atlantic back in 1845, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of the largest suspension bridges in the UK.

Bristol's vibrant nightlife is based around the districts of Clifton, Harbourside and the City Centre. Each is home to a number of restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs and Bristol hotels. Be sure to head to the Bristol Old Vic, an offshoot of the famous Old Vic in London, and Bristol Hippodrome if you're looking for a great night of theatre and entertainment. After a busy day of sightseeing return to one of many hotels in Bristol, chill out in the in the health club, sample some award-winning cuisine, relax in the bar or simply retire to the comfort of your room.

Bristol is a hustling and vibrant city but sometimes you may feel that you need a little break from the energy of the city. However, this is where the West Country comes into its own, with the picturesque counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire sitting just outside the city. You could also visit the ancient Roman city of Bath which is a 15 minute train journey away.

Stay Date: 23/05/06, a customer from Pembroke Dock who stayed at 4* Mercure Bristol Brigstow in Bristol wrote this review.

St Davids Hotel Cardiff Bay is 10* for service - because of the people who work there. The Great Briton in Bristol is fantastic. Staying in The Mercure Brigstow Bristol, Bristol Harbour was so easy See More  Read more information to use the Ferry boats on the harbour. Blenheim was tooooooo expensive - do not bother with the house! Now Longleat is great, like a big family home with great guides.   Collapse  Hide

Audition Trip To Bristol

Stay Date: 15/08/06, a customer who stayed at 4* Novotel Bristol Centre in Bristol wrote this review.

I visited Bristol with my daughter as I had been offered an audition at a Bristol hotel for a new game show. The hotel we booked, the Novotel, was absolutely brilliant. The accommodation was See More  Read more information excellent and so was the attitude and helpfulness of the staff. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first evening, the food was lovely, there was plenty of it, and it was definitely not as expensive as Ihad thought it might be! After breakfast the next morning we checked out and I went for the audition at a different hotel. After that we hit the shops and got lots of bargains, before returning home onthe train later in the afternoon.   Collapse  Hide

A Great Day Out in Bristol

Stay Date: 15/12/06, a customer who stayed at 4* Mercure Bristol Brigstow in Bristol wrote this review.

The hotel we booked was great. After a wonderful breakfast, we set out to walk around the docks. The area approaching the docks has been landscaped following a nautical theme and is very attractive. See More  Read more information The docks themselves have a lot to offer including a boat trip and a visit to the SS Great Britain. Lunch and a glass of wine at the ArnolFini Gallery was followed by a tour of the shops up ParkRoad. The diversity of the shops made this a more enjoyable spree than the main shopping area. We did not find time to go to Clifton, we'll have to arrange another visit!!   Collapse  Hide
