Bournemouth Airport Hotels

The sheer number of hotels in Bournemouth should give you a general idea about how popular this seaside town is. Bournemouth is a vibrant town with a variety of shops, restaurants, Bournemouth hotels, buzzing nightlife and endless Dorset countryside to explore. It lies at the eastern end of the Jurassic Coast with seven miles of golden beaches, beautiful parks and award winning gardens. There is plenty to do in Bournemouth, so get the most out of your visit with us. But before you get on with booking your Bournemouth hotel, let us tell you about some of the best things to get up too whilst there?

  • The Beach - It would be a crime to visit Bournemouth and not take a stroll along one of the UK?s top seaside hotspots. With seven miles of golden sands and sparkling sea, Bournemouth offers some of the best beaches in the UK. Yet the town itself is never that far away.
  • Shopping - Once you are done with the beach, but not quite ready for dinner and your hotel room, why not spend some time exploring the shops in Bournemouth. The town boasts all the regular high street stores you could want, whilst also offering a wide range of boutiques, cafes and specialist shops. Venture out a little further and you get to 'the village' which is Bournemouth's old town centre. This elegant district offers a wide range of shops including design specialists, delicatessens, beauty shops and restaurants. Speaking of restaurants-
  • Eat out - With over 250 restaurants in the town, eating well in Bournemouth is easy. Once you have popped back to your hotel in Bournemouth to freshen up, there is a smorgasbord of restaurants to choose from. We would suggest trying out some of the local seafood as it is unlikely you will get fresher anywhere else.
If you are looking for a weekend break by the sea, then look no further as Bournemouth has it all. Take a look at some of our Bournemouth hotels now. Alternatively, explore more UK weekend breaks.

The Durley Dean Hotel

Stay Date: 11/11/06, a customer from Banbury who stayed at 3* Durley Dean Hotel in Bournemouth wrote this review.

We went for a short weekend break in Bournemouth and stayed at the Durley Dean Hotel; I have to say considering how much we paid the weekend was outstanding. The hotel staff were pleasant, efficient See More  Read more information and well presented. When we had a problem with the Tv in our room after dinner they changed it for us in minutes; this was at their busiest point on a Saturday evening too and they did it all with asmile! The food at the hotel is as you would expect, apart from the breakfast - that really started my day off a treat!! yum yum! We didn't do much in Bournemouth other eat at a local Restaurantcalled 'Hot Rocks'; I have to say it was amazing! The location is right down by the main pier which is beautiful at night; but more to the point the food was delicious - and not too over priced consideringthe location!! Overall I have to say the weekend was a hundred times better than i wanted it to be, not just because of the brilliant value but also because of the great service! Thank you   Collapse  Hide

A Weekend in & around Bournemouth

Stay Date: 16/11/06, a customer from Portsmouth who stayed at 3* Britannia Bournemouth Hotel in Bournemouth wrote this review.

The Britannia Bournemouth Hotel was refurbished in June 06 & although there is still some work to be done, the hotel has a comfortable feel to it; in general, the staff were very pleasant and See More  Read more information courteous, the room was surprisingly large (we were fortunate to have a sea view also!) & the buffet breakfast was more than adequate with a good variety of hot & cold choices. The highlight of Bournemouthis the seafront, its clifftop walks & the ability to walk as far as you want, taking in the sea air & admiring the scenery - from the view of the Isle of Wight Needles, to the point around Swanage.Bournemouth & area must be praised for the high standard of maintaining their buildings & gardens, all which blend in wonderfully. The abundance of trees makes it feel lush, even during the autumnseason. Poole is a fantastic place to shop - an indoor mall with both regular & a few non-standard shops, the array of outdoor shops, the quay & Poole Pottery. Boscombe is another great little place witha mixture of shops & a pretty decent market with food & other goods. Wimborne Market is fairly large, with a good variety of food, clothing & assorted other goods. All in all, I would rate this partof Dorset as a great alternative to shopping in London, with the benefit of being by the sea in a lush green environment.   Collapse  Hide
