Stay at the Russell next time

Stay Date: 14/11/14, a customer aged 65+ from Huddersfield who stayed at 3* Bedford Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

The staff were in the main disinterested. The towels were small and paper thin. Both the hot and cold taps at the basin leaked to the point of distraction. The room was noisy from the street traffic See More  Read more information and the bed too short for a tall person. The food was mediocre, synthetic tasting and poor quality. No biscuits in the room at all and the daily allocation of milk carton reduced every day! The hotelwas reasonably conveniently sited and the car parking facility useful. The carpets were very poorly vacuumed with fluff clearly visible within and out with the room. All in all the manager needs toexert himself and metaphorically whip the whole unit into shape.   Collapse  Hide

London hotel

Stay Date: 21/11/14, a customer aged 65+ from Keighley who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Queues at check in, queues for breakfast, queues for luggage room.Rooms small and bleak but clean. Quality of breakfast was average, but the pavilion restaurant served a good carvery. Staff good at See More  Read more information preventing queue jumpers. Hotel felt more like a hostel rather than a hotel. The hotel looks more suited to Moscow with a Soviet style of operating.   Collapse  Hide

Great Theatre Break to London

Stay Date: 07/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Yelverton who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Ideally situated for the theatre and getting around London. Hotel was very basic and not particularly clean, under beds was disgusting. Small rooms with one bed being up against a radiator that See More  Read more information could not be adjusted, making it too hot to sleep but with the window open it was too noisy and too cold for the person in the other bed. Tea and coffee were practically non existent. Holes in towels andbedding. Breakfast was a nightmare finding a table to sit at was near impossible. Plus side, plenty of hot water.   Collapse  Hide

Have you seen that Hotel from Russell Square..?

Stay Date: 13/03/15, a customer aged 45-64 from Wirral who stayed at 3* President Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Without doubt one of the most basic hotels I've stayed in in London. Take a good look from the outside. It hasn't had any money spent on it in decades. Grim. It is in a really handy location. See More  Read more information Breakfast in nearby Pret A Manger was a much better experience even though I had to pay extra.   Collapse  Hide

Not the best place

Stay Date: 17/04/15, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* Royal National Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Hotel is nicely located but the rooms are not very spacious. The bathroom is full of mould and the breakfast was like eating cardboard. The coffee was undrinkable and the tea looked like dish water. See More  Read more information The only good thing was the location being central to everything if you like walking.   Collapse  Hide

London weekend

Stay Date: 08/05/15, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* President Hotel in Russell Square wrote this review.

Stayed at the President Hotel to go and see the show Sunny Afternoon - the show was fantastic and we also visited Harrods and the Cenotaph for the day. The hotel staff on reception were polite and See More  Read more information helpful. The staff in the dining room were not so, they always rushed and left tables dirty and unfinished. The food was very average and the bread is like rubber - very cheap - in general a belowaverage hotel.   Collapse  Hide
