Editor Notes:

Editor’s comments: This is a large hotel with over 1,500 bedrooms in London so at peak times, such as Saturday nights, queues for breakfast and check in can be expected. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is very well located in Russell Square and close to Oxford Street.

Lunch planned at Ikkyu Japanese but it was See More  Read more information closed. Fall back was The Perseverance but the kitchen was closed for refurb. Ate at The Lamb - reasonable. That night we went to the Fino restaurant- expensive, small helpings and pretentious. Sat boughttwo tube day tickets (excellent value) and went to the Science Museum, Italian restaurant on Gloucester Rd, Harrods then back to the hotel and onto the Lion King and then a meal at Christopher's.
