Christmas shopping in London

Stay Date: 17/11/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Imperial Hotel London in Russell Square wrote this review.

Stayed at the Imperial in Russell Square. The location was brilliant, only one stop on the tube from Kings Cross. The hotel staff obliging and friendly. The bedroom however was very small and needed See More  Read more information decorating, but did have lovely view of Russell Square. Tea and coffee facilities were advertised as provided but 2 tea bags and 2 sachets of coffee between 2 insufficient. Breakfast was good.Travelled by tube with Oyster card which for me is the quickest and best way to get round London, we did however try to avoid the busiest times on tube.   Collapse  Hide

Reception staff made us very welcome, lovely cafe/ restaurant for coffee, cake and light-bites. Single room with bath was adequate, mattress a but lumpy and pillows basic. Breakfast was full English See More  Read more information plus continental, and loads of staff to cater for tea/coffee etc. I was on a course at the Imperial and everything was provided above and beyond. Reception staff put the WiFi on my laptop and phone, with no hassle. All staff were very pleasant and most helpful.   Collapse  Hide

Room needs updating and decorating. It was very poor and even though the heating was on all the time the room was cold. Window only single glazed therefore it was cold and very noisy. Would not stay See More  Read more information at this hotel again but it was central for our stay.   Collapse  Hide

New Year Break in London

Stay Date: 29/12/17, a customer aged 45-64 from St. Helens who stayed at 3* Imperial Hotel London in Russell Square wrote this review.

The Imperial Russell Square is in a brilliant location and could be a fantastic hotel but there are lots of things that let it down. The bedroom was OK for the price paid but with the windows being See More  Read more information old the wind was literally howling through them making the room cold. The Atrium bar is beautiful but service finishes at 11pm, so if you want a drink or something to eat later you have to go to theDay and Night bar which is not a very nice place to spend time and yet again it was very cold in there. I was really surprised to find the Atrium bar closed at 11pm on New Year's Eve. Breakfast wasbelow average also I have never tasted a cup of tea so bad in England and the dining room a bit like a cattle market. The staff were really good especially the porters who were very knowledgeableregarding directions to places and the best way of get there. There was also a bar called Barbrelas which we were told was closed. As I said before, so much more could be done with this hotel but I supposethe price would go up then.   Collapse  Hide
