Hotel within walking distance of most attractions, even if you do gain a few blisters! Hotel Tavistock basic but adequate. River trip included in break was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. Tavistock Hotel was very good including the breakfast. Staff very helpful. Hotel close to Kings Cross and British Museum. Jacques Wine Bar where we had our free meal was excellent and we returned See More  Read more information the next day and found prices reasonable. Busy two nights in London

Hotel was in a good area, the room was nice and quiet, breakfast was good with pleasant staff, we even got a free three course meal for two on arrival which we could not believe. A great trip to London

Bedroom overlooked a small pleasant park area. A choice of Russell Square or Hoburn underground stations - both convenient for city centre locations. Plenty of eating places situation nr. the hotel. See More  Read more information Favourite restaurant is Denis's French restaurant about 10 mins walk from Tavistock, but near to Bedford Hotel. The free cruise from Tower Hill to Westminster was delightful and we enjoyed the walkalong Victoria Road to the Palace Theatre. London Visit

Visited the world's largest trade show for lighting/sound/effects by the theatre/concert equipment manufacturers. Then had a great night at the Theatre Royal-DruryLane with the stunning new See More  Read more information production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,technically the greatest production in the West End. Then the next night Saw Midsummers Nights Dream with David Walliams doing very well in the role ofBottom.Also caught the arrival of Tom Hanks at the London Film Festival in L.Square. quite a packed programme. The hotel was very well appointed with a good breakfast with nice and helpful staff,(TheTavistock, Russel Square) The hotel was only a couple of minutes from the tube,so well situated.
