Short Weekend in Cardiff

We went to Cardiff to see Kelly Clarkson in concert at the International Arena. We stayed at the Mercure Holland House Hotel which was only 5 mins away. The hotel was excellent, staff were extremely helpful and full of knowledge about the area. The hotel had a lovely pool area, unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working. The Breakfast was an excellent self service full Welsh breakfast as well as pastries and fresh fruit. The main shopping area is just 5 mins walk from the hotel, it really is in an ideal location. The shops were mainly the normal high street chains but several indoor arcades so plenty to choose from. Cardiff Bay is well worth a visit with lovely waterfront dining and arts and crafts to see. We went on a 45 min boat trip around the bay to see the barrages that have blocked up the bay against the sea. Lots to see in a weekend in Cardiff. Kelly Clarkson sung to a packed audience in Cardiff. She was excellent, her voice is so strong. She sung most of the hits from her 2 CDs.

Rugby Weekend
A customer from Clwyd who stayed at 4* Barcelo Cardiff Angel Hotel (2 Night Offer & 2 Dinners) in Cardiff wrote this review.
The angel hotel is perfectly situated as a base for any millenium stadium event as it is just across the road. Parking at the hotel is limited but the helpful hotel staff told us about the Cardiff blues parking which saved us a packet. If the Blues were playing though the only altermative was the exhorbatently priced NCP.

Short Break in Swansea

My son and I went to Swansea to look at the University. The hotel was ideal, the leisure facilities excellent and overall we had a relaxing 24 hours

must visit Conwy. wonderful historic walled town and stunning castle.lovely river frontage.drive up to lyn ogwen and visit Cwm Idwal (moderate walking in sensible shoes)for some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in the uk the Grand Hotel was as it suggests -is very grand.Room was comfortable with a view of the sea,the town and the mountains! what more could you ask for?The food was good-great value for money
