Tall Ships Regatta 2017

If you're in London this Easter then head to Greenwich and Woolwich for the 2017 Tall Ships Regatta. More than 30 historic ships will take to the River Thames for four days of festivities over the Easter weekend. There are lots of events planned over the weekend including cruises on the tall ships, a spectacular fireworks display and maritime themed activities in both Greenwich and Woolwich. Alternatively, head to the waterfront on the 16th April for the Parade of Sail as the ships leave the river to begin their trans-Atlantic voyage to Canada.

Family Fun at The V&A

If playing games as a family is your thing then you’ll love the Board Games Rediscovered exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood, Bethnal Green. The exhibition includes favourites such as Trivial Pursuit, Cluedo and Chess as well as historic games and interactive displays. Children will love the hands on activities and grown-ups can take a walk down memory lane and relive the excitement and frustration of playing board games. Located just a few minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station on the Central Line, entry to the museum is free and the exhibition runs until the 23rd of April.
