Opened in 2009 the Liège-Guillemins station is Belgium's newest high speed railway station and serves 36,000 people a day. The station offers superb links across Belgium and into Europe. For onward travel into Leige centre there is transport hub for the TEC bus service, train service and taxi ranks at the station.
Getting to your hotel:
The Liège-Guillemins station is on the outskirts of Liege city centre and offers transport links into the city and to the range of Leige hotels. It is possible to walk into the town centre in about half an hour though this may not be preferable with a lot of luggage especially when there are excellent train and bus links into the centre.
Once you get off the train at Liège-Guillemins station then the quickest way to get into Liege is via train to the Gare de Palais station in the centre of town. The train just takes a few minutes and then you can be out and about exploring the city or head straight to your hotel to freshen up.
1,000's of people use the Liege bus service everyday as it is one of the best ways of getting about the city. There are several bus services that will take you from the Liège-Guillemins station into Liege city centre. The main TEC bus terminal is directly outside the station with bus services 1 and 4 running into the city, these will be signed for "Pl. St. Lambert" or "Opera". If your hotel is out of the centre there are plenty of bus services to take you there, you can find information at the main bus terminal by the train station.
To get to your Liege hotel quickly and hassle free then why not hop into a taxi, there is a taxi rank situated outside the Liège-Guillemins station as well as at various points in the city including the rue Léopold and Pont-d'Avroy.
