Checking-in for your Eurostar Break to Ghent is easy!
When you have completed your booking with us you will receive a Superbreak reference number and a Eurostar reference number. You will need to use the Eurostar reference number in order to collect your tickets at your chosen departure station (London St Pancras, Ashford International or Ebbsfleet International).
Make sure you read our 5 simple tips before you set off on your break

Minimum Check In Time:
Check in at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure, however please allow enough time to collect your tickets and allow for any potential delays getting to the station. If you get there early then why not treat yourself to a coffee & croissant!
Collecting your tickets:
Upon arrival at the station, simply enter your Eurostar reference number into any of the 'Quick Ticket' machines in the ticket hall or if you get stuck just ask any member of the Eurostar terminal staff who will be happy to help.
Baggage Allowance:
No need to worry about checking-in your bags or how much your case weighs. There isn't a separate check-in for baggage at Eurostar as long as you haven't got more than two medium sized suitcase bags or cases and one piece of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage charges apply any additional items and bulky/sports equipment.
Seat Numbers:
Your seats have been reserved and seat numbers will be shown on your tickets when you print them off, so no need to worry about pre-booking seat numbers.
Passports/Visas:
Please ensure you have a valid passport and if required a visa for your visit. Border formalities are completed on each departure by both UK and French immigration authorities.
About your journey to Ghent
You will travel by Eurostar between London and Brussels. Your Eurostar ticket is then valid on any Belgium Railways train from Brussels to Ghent which run every 30 minutes.
- All times shown throughout your booking on our website are for the Eurostar elements of your journey only.
- You must allow up to 1 1/2 hours in total each way from Brussels in order to clear passport control and complete your journey to/from Ghent

London St Pancras Station
London St Pancras is located in central London and is a stunningly renovated Victorian station. It offers a great range of shops, restaurants and bars including Europe's longest champagne bar!
Getting there
By train:

First Capital Connect, Southeastern and East Midlands trains arrive directly into St Pancras International. East Coast, Grand Central and Hull trains arrive at King's Cross, which is less than a 5 minute walk. Virgin Trains, Scotrail and London Midland trains arrive into Euston, which is a short walk away. Chiltern trains arrive into Marylebone, First Great Western arrive into Paddington, Southern Trains arrive into Victoria, South Eastern trains arrive into Victoria, Charing Cross and London Bridge depending on where you are travelling from, South West Trains arrive into Waterloo and National Express East Anglia arrive into Liverpool Street station.
All above mentioned mainline train stations are between 15-25 minute tube journey to St Pancras International

By tube:

St Pancras International is served by Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly & Victoria lines. For access to the Northern Line, you will need to use the escalators to the new Northern ticket hall located on the lower concourse, by the Pancras Road glass porch.

By car:

There is a 315 space multi-storey NCP car park on Pancras Road (charges apply). Address: St Pancras Station, Pancras Road, London, NW1. The station is located just outside the congestion charging zone on Pancras Road (please note the road is one-way and can only be accessed from Euston Road). Private cars can pick up and set down in the parking bays on Pancras Road.

Ashford International or Ebbsfleet International Stations
If you live in the south of England you can also depart from either Ashford International or Ebbsfleet International.

- Toilets with baby-changing facilities
- Cafés/bar, bureau de change and convenience store are all available in the departure lounge.
Ghent Sint-Pieters Station
Travelling into Ghent by Eurostar you will arrive at the city's Sint-Pieters station, the station is situated in the Arts Quarter of the city south of the Citadel Park about 1.5 miles from the centre of town. There are regular taxi, trams and buses services that run direct from outside the station exit.
Getting to your hotel:
With hotels spread across Ghent from the city centre to the outskirts there are plenty of transport links available to get you to your hotel. Hop into a taxi outside the Sint-Pieters train station or for more economical travel utilise the city's network of bus and tram services to get you across the city.
By bus:

The Bus service is operated by De Lijn, there is a Lijnwinkel shop at the main bus terminals near Sint-Pieters station, here you can get a free map showing the tram and bus routes. It is best to buy a bus card before you board from the automatic dispensers at the bus stop as this will save you up to 50%. If you are planning on using public transport throughout your Ghent break then get a 3 or 5 days pass to use on the trams and buses. On Friday and Saturday, you can make use of free night buses.

By tram:

The quickest way to get into Ghent city centre from the Sint-Pieters station is by tram. The tram services numbers 1 and 24 will take you direct to the city centre in approximately 10 minutes just make sure you look out for the stop named Korenmarkt. The tram network is a fantastic way to get across the city with an extensive network running connection the Arts Quarter with Ghents Historic Centre.

By taxi:

To get to your hotel quickly and without any trouble hop then you may be best getting a taxi, particularly if you have a lot of luggage. There is a taxi rank situated outside the Sint-Pieters station which will take you to your chosen hotel, on your return to the station your hotel can arrange for a taxi to pick you up.
