This was our first visit for any length of time (4 nights overall including the Hull - Europort ferry) to Amsterdam for a number of years. It did not disappoint, apart from some excessively noisy yobs on the outward ferry. The hotel was adequate but was 2kms out of the centre. Amsterdam itself... Read more

Brilliant atmosphere. Lots to see and do. Enjoyed going to the Irish bars, everyone really friendly in a "smoke free" environment. Tram system easy to use but beware of the cyclists - they rule the roads and paths. Read more

Good food and shopping, excellent hotel (Movenpick) if a little bit far out to walk but well serviced by trams 5 minutes max wait and 3 min trip to central station. Christmas market was mainly food based but fun all the same. Busy and fun time, highly recommended for a quick pre Christmas trip. Read more

Ferry across had an excellent meal and entertainment. Decent location for hotel but it is run down so don't expect too much. This was a short break to help my Mum to celebrate her 70th birthday. We went on a tour on a canal boat which was lovely followed by a wander round the town. The pace was steady, partly due to the heat, but we found lots of cafes and bars where we could stop for refreshments. The service was... Read more

We started off my visiting Voldenpark and lounging in the nice sunshine, we then walked around until we found a café and sat by a canal and had a drink. We then decided on the restraint to have our main meal and after that found our hotel. The next day we went to the Zoo in Amsterdam which was... Read more

The ferry from Hull to Rotterdam was good, the food excellent and the double room comfortable. The transfer to Amsterdam was smooth and we were dropped off at the central station. The hotel was about 15 minutes ride on a tram, we bought a 48 hour pass for 24 euros (12 each) which meant we could... Read more
