About THORPE PARK 2 day
For the ultimate adrenaline fix in 2014, grab your friends and take on some of Europe's most extreme rides and attractions at the nation's thrill capital on a Thorpe Park short break.
Experience a death-defying flight in reverse on the UK’s first winged rollercoaster, THE SWARM. Fearless riders who brave it backwards on THE SWARM won’t know what’s coming as they spin 180° and plunge 127ft into an apocalyptic wasteland, speeding unknowingly towards the wing of a genuine plane wreckage. And with a terrifying new near-miss that will see THE SWARM burst through the mangled metal of a devastated billboard, THE SWARM is sure to terrify even the bravest of thrillseekers.
2014 sees the introduction of the world’s first Angry Birds 4D animation experience to Thorpe Park. The amazing new themed land is preparing to nest this Spring, featuring the much loved Angry Birds characters coming home to roost on Detonator – the Resort’s 100ft rapid drop tower ride - while ‘Red Bird’ and the ‘Bad Piggies’ go bump to bump on a brand new dodgems attraction, alongside themed retail and catering outlets.
The all-new 10 minute animated film Angry Birds 4D experience – jointly developed by Rovio and top 4D animators 3DBA - will be a fully immersive attraction, capturing the fun, colourful and delightful world of the birds and pigs incorporating high impact special effects in movie theatre surroundings.
Be sure not to miss what will be an exciting Easter weekend at Thorpe Park this year; from Friday 18th April to Monday 21st April 2014 head out on the big Easter egg hunt around the Park and find one of the Angry Birds for your chance to win one of the 20,000 chocolate eggs on offer. Then, prepare to be astounded by the Braniac Live! Team as they demonstrate the most thrilling experiments from the world of Science not to be tried at home.
Only the brave will survive the most blood-curdling and nail-biting Halloween experience this year as Fright Nights returns to the nation's Thrill Capital, THORPE PARK. Beware of what lurks in the shadows as the Park's live action horror mazes join some of Europe's most extreme rollercoasters in terrifying guests long into the dead of night.
