About The Winslow Boy
From 8th March to 25th May 2013 guests on The Winslow Boy theatre breaks can enjoy a brand new adaptation of Sir Terence Rattigan’s iconic drama. Directed by the renowned Lindsay Posner, whose recent successes include Abigail’s Party and Uncle Vanya, the play is to be revived at London’s The Old Vic theatre.
Based on a true story, The Winslow Boy Old Vic production was originally written in 1946 and tells the tale of a father’s moral struggle after his son is expelled from school after being convicted of stealing. The play is one of the late Sir Rattigan’s most well-known plays . Among The Browning Version and The Deep Blue Sea it is considered as one of the playwright’s triumphs, meaning The Winslow Boy theatre breaks are sure to be enjoyed by fans of his work.
As one of the best known and loved venues in London, The Winslow Boy Old Vic production is certainly headed for a suitable stage for Lindsay Posner’s new interpretation of Rattigan’s classic.
