Hairspray, the mother of all musicals, follows Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart as she sets out to dance her way onto TV’s most popular dance show.
Can this ordinary girl realise her extraordinary dreams, inspire her mum and still have time to win the boy she loves?
One of Britain’s leading musical stars Michael Ball will undergo a major transformation to play Tracy’s mother Edna.
Please Note: Michael Ball will not be performing on Monday evenings and on Saturday 27 June. At these times the role of Edna Turnblad will be played by Adam Price. From 27 July a new cast will include Brian Conley as Edna Turnblad, Chlöe Hart as Tracy Turnblad and Liam Tamne as Link Larkin. Final show times are subject to change and specific cast members cannot be guaranteed for every performance.
