About Oliver! - Dublin
Oliver! has been entertaining new audiences throughout the UK on a national tour since December last year, following a hugely successful run at London’s Drury Lane. This winter Oliver! arrives in Dublin at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 12th December 2012 to 12th January 2013.
Based on the classic Dickens novel Oliver Twist, Oliver! tells the tale of the little orphan boy Oliver as he tries to survive life on London’s streets with a little help from the Artful Dodger’s gang of pickpockets. Lionel Bart's multi award winning production of Oliver! features an iconic collection of songs, including the well known Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me.
This much loved musical is a true family favourite and has been seen by millions of people worldwide, both on stage and screen. This timeless tale was adapted into a film in 1968, where the adorable Mark Lester touched hearts across the globe as he memorably asked for more.
Oliver! Dublin will star Neil Morrissey in the role of Fagin though cast members cannot be guaranteed for every performance.
