About The Lady Killers - Dublin
Fresh from London’s glitzy West End, The Ladykillers is touring the UK and will show at Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre from the 25th – 28th February 2013. After much critical acclaim, The Ladykillers new screen adaptation has fast become known as the hottest side-splitting black comedy around.
Mrs Wilberforce, a sweet little old lady lives alone and is happily pottering on with life until she is faced against a gang of criminal misfits with a hidden agenda. Disguised as amateur musicians, Professor Marcus and his gang rent rooms in the topsy-turvy house of sweet but strict Mrs Wilberforce. The old lady is unknowingly pulled into the villain’s conceived heist job, but not for long. Mrs W becomes wise to her scheming lodgers with only her parrot, General Gordon, to help her. It’s one old lady versus 5 undercover criminals, but who will be forced to face the music?
Written by Father Ted’s Graham Linehan and directed by Sean Foley, the 1955 celebrated Ealing comedy is ready to take the UK by storm once again in 2013.
