About Great Expectations
Graham McLaren's 'outstanding', 'haunting' and 'utterly brilliant' production of Great Expectations London is heading to the Vaudeville Theatre, from February 6th, 2013.
Great Expectations London recounts the story of a poor young boy called Pip Gargery and his entanglement with embittered and reclusive Miss Havisham en-route to wealth and status. Guests on Great Expectations theatre breaks can see Dickens’ well-loved charcters brought to life, including the beautiful, chilling Estella, the terrifying convict Magwitch, the manipulative Jaggers, the tragic and mysterious Miss Havisham and Pip, looking back on his young self - a boy with 'great expectations'.
Dickens’ masterwork has been adapted for the stage by Jo Clifford, one of Scotland's leading playwrights. As the author of around 80 plays that have been converted into various languages and produced throughout the world, many theatre-lovers are embarking on Great Expectations theatre breaks to witness her great work.
