Harrogate Weekend

Beautiful town, clean, with well maintained gardens. Plenty green open spaces to sit and relax. Many excellent eating establishments. Quaint individual shops offering a different retail experience. For art lovers, shops and galleries offering choices for any tastes or desires. Those with a sweet tooth, Harrogate is heaven itself, from traditional local temptations to sweets from yesteryear it was all there in abundance. While there we went to Harrogate Theatre and saw Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Excellent Production from a local theatre group. The Harrogate Theatre is a must see venue the building has been lovingly restored to its original glory.Put all this together with its own historical offerings makes Harrogate an ideal short break

Weekend in Harrogate

Never been before. Shopping ok they had a Fatface so my fiance was pleased. The Swallow St George hotel was lovely, a bit like going back to the 70's but very peaceful we felt like we were with just a handful of residents but the hotel was full. It has retained its Victorian feel and decor. The gym and pool were great. Room was right at the top in the eaves and very cozy if not a bit in need of re-decorating. All in all a lovely weekend.
