Great Edinburgh Weekend

Stay Date: 28/02/14, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 4* Holyrood Aparthotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

The Holyrood Aparthotel was very convenient for the Royal Mile and the City Centre. We had two double rooms at a very reasonable price, with joint lounge with all conveniences of TV, Hi-Fi and See More  Read more information adjoining kitchen with fridge and microwave. The breakfast provision in the kitchen was extensive - cereals, bread, butter, cream cheese, jam, marmalade, milk, tea, coffee, etc - spot on! Instantheating in the rooms and plentiful hot water in bath and shower were very welcome in cold February and the beds were snug and warm. The only minor complaint would be at the 8.00am bottle avalanche (X 3)from the adjoining hotel/cafe. Staff were very helpful and the room was beautifully serviced. We had no desire to use the hotel gym facilities, but these were available to us. We willdefinitely return to the Holyrood Aparthotel, plus rail travel, via Superbreak- terrific!   Collapse  Hide

Fantastic 3 nights in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 04/03/14, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* Stay Central in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Our hotel was just amazing, it's called the Stay Central for a reason as it is located right in the heart of Edinburgh and is just round the corner from the south bridge vaults and grass markets, we See More  Read more information walked pretty much everywhere with ease. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they even put a birthday card with some chocolates in my room for me on behalf of all the staff. The room was so wellequipped with all the mod cons... flat screen tv, safe, ipod docking, beautiful bathroom with a heated mirror so it didn't fog up. Breakfast was nice and filling (haggis is awesome), lift to allfloors. They offer all kinds of little things like bike hire or even roller blades, there's a early morning jogging club if you have the energy for it or box sets for stag and hen parties (include thingslike hair straighteners for girls and xbox etc for boys). The bar has lovely vaulted ceilings in brickwork and overall is just such a nice place whether you are looking for a romantic break or groupgetaway. I highly recommend this hotel!   Collapse  Hide

Fantastic Break at New Lanark

Stay Date: 10/03/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Laurencekirk who stayed at 3* New Lanark Mill Hotel in New Lanark wrote this review.

New Lanark Mill Hotel was of a high standard, our room was spacious and very clean, the view from the window on to the Clyde was outstanding. The visit to the Mill was entertaining and enjoyable as See More  Read more information well educational and great priced tickets. Although New Lanark is quite self contained the hotel prices are very reasonable and we never felt ripped off as we have at other resort hotels. The walkaround the Falls of Clyde is scenic and you never know quite what you will see in the wildlife department. All in all a great place to spend a few days.   Collapse  Hide

Arrived to sunshine on stunning scenery - the shimmer of the loch and the snow still thick on Ben Lomond combined with the splendour of the hotel 's gardens made a great start to our break. Checking See More  Read more information in was simple and efficient and rooms were large and comfortable - maybe in need of some updating but the bed was huge and the pillows luxurious. Superb pool and spa area. Dinner and breakfastexcellent and well presented. Plenty walking and places to see with watersports and shooting etc available across the road on the lochside. Prices in hotel were high but service was good and is whatyou expect in a hotel of this standard. Overall excellent value for money and a very enjoyable stay.   Collapse  Hide
