Edinburgh is a fantastic, compact city with brilliant public transport bus routes. Only £3.50 for a day rider which will get you all around Edinburgh. Our hotel was budget but my sister and I were See More  Read more information given a room for 4 which was spacious and very nice. The bus stop was right outside the door, number 11. Great weekend in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 12/10/13, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Edinburgh House Hotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

We had a great weekend in Edinburgh visiting our son, a student at the University of Edinburgh. Travel arrangements excellent ,no problems whatsoever. Hotel ideally situated to our son's hall of See More  Read more information residence. However, hotel essentially clean, in process of being refurbished ! Very 'hick' organisation, bedroom dingy ,shower could do with a good clean. Windows very draughty ,curtains difficult todraw. Would not consider staying at hotel again ! Should not be included in list of recommended accommodation in Edinburgh. Could not complain to management as no one available to speak to after 10 00am, had to leave key with a cleaner who did not speak English!   Collapse  Hide

Edinburgh

The hotel room was clean. The hotel itself doesn't look appealing from the outside. The doors were grubby and needed a clean. With just a few improvements the hotel would thrive. Edinburgh

Stay Date: 15/11/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Wallasey who stayed at 3* Mercure Livingston in Edinburgh/Livingston wrote this review.

I cant imagine anyone not enjoying a visit to Edinburgh, so the only worry is where to stay and having stayed on a superbreak deal last month we invited 7 other members of the family to return and See More  Read more information see if they enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. We were not disappointed, the hotel is quite new and is situated on the edge of a shopping centre in a quiet location it has very clean andspacious rooms, a very nice bar/restaurant area and underneath a free pool, steam room and gym. staff were very helpful and always pleasant. this hotel is situated outside of Edinburgh centre at theend of the M8 motorway and has excellent travel links by tram and train next door to the hotel (£3.50 for an all day tram and bus travel pass). (The noise from the tram and trains passing is notapparent).my family and I are seasoned travellers and we think this was one of the best deals we have ever had.   Collapse  Hide
