3 Day Break in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 23/06/14, a customer aged 65+ who stayed at 3* Travelodge Edinburgh Central in Edinburgh wrote this review.

We stayed 3 nights at the Travelodge, St Marys Street, Edinburgh. Our room was at the front on a busy road which was very noisy. We asked if we could be moved to the back of the hotel and the staff See More  Read more information were very helpful and found us another room. This was so much better, the rooms are very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were repetitious but good and plentiful. The locationis very good; Waverley Station, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and Holyrood House are within easy walking distance. Royal Yacht Britannia is a short bus journey away and I would definitelyrecommend a visit there.   Collapse  Hide

Disappointing Stay

Stay Date: 05/07/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Aberdeen who stayed at 4* Macdonald Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel, our stay was very disappointing. The room, which had apparently just been refurbished, had a cracked sink, shower that ran hot/cold, a flaking ceiling See More  Read more information and a cupboard door that would not open. Breakfast was ok, but service a bit disappointing. Also no in-house movie channel available. As a positive the leisure facilities were excellent, however we willnot be returning to this hotel.   Collapse  Hide

Horrible bathroom

Stay Date: 22/07/14, a customer aged 45-64 from Ware who stayed at 3* Arrochar Hotel in Arrochar (Nr Loch Lomond) wrote this review.

We stayed for 5 days in July. The hotel has only one thing in its favour - it has a fantastic location directly on the loch and our bedroom overlooked the loch. Truly wonderful. The room was ok but See More  Read more information the bathroom was awful - grubby, very old fittings, non working shower and dirty, shabby sealant around an ancient bath. The restaurant food was dated, the service was very average and the decorwould have been out of date in 1975. It was only the view which stopped us leaving on day one.   Collapse  Hide
