Short Break In Edinburgh

Stay Date: 09/09/11, a customer who stayed at 3* Travelodge Edinburgh Central in Edinburgh wrote this review.

I cannot recommend edinburgh enough. The castle is a must, but be prepared to wait 30minutes to get in. The old town is a delight to explore and improves when you get away from the royal mile. The See More  Read more information trvelodge was adequate but a bit run down. The staff where ok but not really interested. The position of the hotel was excellent, being a hundred meters from the high street.   Collapse  Hide

Short Break In Edinburgh City

Stay Date: 08/09/11, a customer from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Travelodge Edinburgh Central in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Can thoroughly recommend the travelodge central - lives up to it's name and the best travelodge i've stayed in so far. Disappointed by stac polly restaurant across the road - expensive and tiny See More  Read more information portions. The waitress was delightful though, and the food beautifully cooked, although i was not too keen on my rare to the point of blue duck starter being cold. And they charged for the bread when weasked for some - unbelievable! spent nearly 2 hours on the royal yacht britannia - excellent, and so easy to get to by bus on the royal mile, just around the corner from the hotel. Make sure you buysome hot scotch pies from gregg's at ocean terminal when you arrive - to die for! so pleasantly surprised by the camera obscura next to the castle - great hands-on experience - and not just for kids! alovely 4-day break - just wish the hotel bar didn't stay open so late so we could have got up earlier in the morning - teehee! :-).   Collapse  Hide

Edinburgh Break

Stay Date: 10/09/11, a customer who stayed at 3* Travelodge Edinburgh Cameron Toll in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Edinburgh is a great place for a break. The travelodge was excellent and the staff were super. The biggest dissapointment was the first class rail travel....Doncaster to edinburgh with a cold bacon See More  Read more information sandwich and two cups of coffee. Not what I call first class! an arrogant reply from the train company leads you to believe it's not worth bothering with. Next time well use the car! but don't letthat put you off!.   Collapse  Hide

This hotel is in a perfect spot... A lovely hotel and the room was lovely, only complaint is that we were at the back of the hotel and the bottle banks were just outside our room, which was niosy See More  Read more information during the night...Had no phone line either so had to ring on my mobile for room service and then physically go down to reception to order food from their 24hr menu, only to be told that it wasn'tavailable...Eventually it arrived....Spoilt the hotel....   Collapse  Hide

Aviemore Weekend

Stay Date: 11/09/11, a customer from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Macdonald Morlich Hotel in Aviemore wrote this review.

The hotel looks a bit like the marie celeste when you walk into it no staff to be seen (check in is at another building in the complex) and it looks like a dormitory. Saying that the room was clean See More  Read more information but could do with a bit of a revamp. We were on the top floor so perhaps they are the 'cheaper rooms' allocated to online discount websites.   Collapse  Hide
