Weekend in Edinburgh

Stay Date: 18/05/07, a customer from Sheffield who stayed at 4* Fountain Court Apartments - Grove in Edinburgh wrote this review.

I would highly recommend a long weekend visit to Edinburgh. You will never be short of places to visit or excellent eating places. A visit to Mary King's Close on the Royal Mile is a must. In 1753 See More  Read more information the Royal Exchange (now the City Chambers)was built on this site. The houses at the top of the close were knocked down and part of the lower sections were kept and used as the foundations for theRoyal Exchange. The remnants of the closes were left beneath the building, which you can visit. If you like Italian Food, visit Il Castello on Castle Terrace. It is in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. Theservice was fantastic and the food delicious - however do book as it is very popular.   Collapse  Hide
