Edinburgh mini-break

Stay Date: 27/02/17, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 4* Crowne Plaza Edinburgh - Royal Terrace (2 Nt Offer & 1st Nt Dinner) in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Great hotel with fantastic service from all staff, from the concierge to restaurant, front desk & housekeeping. Comfortable room with great view overlooking the Firth of Forth. Clean & well kept. See More  Read more information Had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant on our first evening, included in the cost of the break. Great choice of food at breakfast. Several restaurants nearby serving a variety of differentcuisines including Indian & Turkish. Close to Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre & to main attractions in the city centre - all within walking distance. NB. It is very hilly! Unfortunately did not have time touse the swimming pool, steam room or gym in the hotel. Will definitely go back & stay at the hotel again in the future as there is so much to see.   Collapse  Hide

Great city to visit

Stay Date: 28/02/17, a customer aged 25-44 from United Kingdom who stayed at 3* Old Waverley Hotel in Edinburgh wrote this review.

Headed up to Edinburgh to sample the city. Which is what we did. We stayed in the old Waverley Hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the location. It could not be better. The staff are really See More  Read more information friendly and helpful. The hotel room was big and the beds were comfortable the only downside was we did not have a view from the window, which would have made it 10 times better. The room had everythingyou could wish for. Ensure you head up to the castle as the views are amazing. Best way to get around to see the city is to use the hop on hop off bus which takes you to different areas of the citywhilst explaining about the history. We will definitely be going back to Edinburgh.   Collapse  Hide

Lovely weekend in Stirling

Stay Date: 31/03/17, a customer aged 45-64 from Berwick-Upon-Tweed who stayed at 4* The Stirling Highland Hotel in Stirling wrote this review.

The Highland Hotel in Stirling used to be an old school and has been renovated to make a great hotel whilst keeping all the quirkiness of the original building. For our first night we were given a See More  Read more information room that had no bedside cabinet and was close to some generators or something that were noisy all night long so we couldn't open our window so it was very hot. We spoke to receptionist in the morningand were immediately given another room which was great. We had dinner on our first night and it was lovely, breakfasts were great - plenty of choice and piping hot. The location of the hotel is ideal- just a short walk up the hill to the castle and down the hill to the town and some good restaurants, shops and pubs. The hill is quite steep but my hubby managed it and he doesn't walk too well!Altogether we had a lovely weekend and would certainly stay at the Highland again.   Collapse  Hide
