Salzburg is famed for its baroque architecture and Alpine setting. A popular ski resort and home to the Salzburg Festival in summer, it was the birthplace of Mozart and the setting for The Sound of Music. Stop off for 'coffee and cakes', Salzburg is home to the longest serving cafe in Austria.

Quite time of year in this very welcoming place with friendly locals, a lovely city with much to see and do. Excellent tram service to get about. Many places of historic, heard of Mozart? good shopping venue. The scenery outside Salzburg is wonderful you must get out and about. A place that you will want to come back again.

Salzburg short Break

Great City for sightseeing and for simply wandering around and taking in the feel of the place. Plenty to see and most within walking distance. We did not do the Sound of music tour but saw various locations. All in all an excellent break in a beautiful and friendly city.

Home from Home in Salzburg

The Austrotel Hotel was home from home with free juices and water all day in the lounge. The Staff were always very pleasant and helpful. If in Salzburg we would defineately stay there again. Beautiful buildings aswell as beautiful sceneries outside town on the mountains and lakes tour, but unfortuneately the tour was too short as no time to look around at our stop at St. Wolfgang. We just had a quick bite to eat and had to dash to our waiting coach.
