Royal Court Hotel (Half Board Offer) Reviews (Coventry)

The hotel is large and very busy with weddings, conferences, etc. Numerous coach tours use this hotel as a base for sightseeing in the area. There are two bars which are ok, and a great gym and pool (which is kept warm). The restaurant is ok and comfortable, usual breakfast; we had a half board offer and dinner was good but only three choices, if you're staying more than a couple of days as we did, it does become a little monotonous. We stayed in the newer part and the room was pretty good. Apparently, so we were told, rooms in the older part were not so good. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There is ample car parking.

Hotel was excellent throughout, even allowing for 3 weddings in the 2 days we were there. No noise heard at all. Staff were very helpful, bar prices were some of the best I have come across in a hotel and the food was good. Coventry Cathedral was something we did not expect as it is modern but is well worth a visit. My wife enjoyed the shopping also.

My wife wanted to see coventry cathedral and after 'negotiating' the roads into coventry we parked up and walked to the cathedral- it was worth all the hassle as it is a very fine modern day building. I sat and read the paper while she went shopping! the hotel had three weddings on in the 2 days we were there and another was due on the sunday. We were on the ground floor and there was no noisy celebrations. I was very impressed with the bar prices, the cheapest of the many hotels that we have booked through you and i can see us visiting this hotel again.

We stayed in the Royal Court Hotel just outside Coventry. It was very good. Huge room, jacquzzi bath, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant carvery was ok but the meat was under hot lamps for over 40 minutes (yes, I did time it!) We ordered items that were cooked fresh from the menu choice and they were good. The deserts were ok but a bit "Iceland frozen gateau" style. We visited Warwick Castle & Stratford upon Avon which was too touristy and should be toned down slighty to reflect an imprtant place in the history of literature & England.
