Magical Rome

A customer  who stayed at 3* Giada Hotel in Rome wrote this review.

Overall Hotel Rating:

Our holiday was great.Rome is a magical place. It came up to all our needs,we loved it.The hotel was very clean ,only thing in its favour . The lift serviced 5 floors and it held 6 at a time . At a busy time you could wait 20 minutes to get into it .there were no stairs you could use except only if there was a fire. The breakfast room had 7 small tables. If you went at 9 you could not sit down. We skipped breakfast it was very very below standard. Would never never recommend it. Cup of coffee and pastry etc was on menu ..the grace and favour regarding this hotel was it was very clean down to the hard working staff. Very disappointed

Proposing in Rome

A customer from LONDON who stayed at 5* Radisson Blu Es Hotel Rome in Rome wrote this review.

Stay Date: 28/03/13

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

I had planned the long weekend to Rome to propose to my girlfriend and therefore had expectations that the trip and hotel was going to be a friendly, confortable but most importantly a romantic (and successful) experience. On the down side the staff at the hotel check in were quite rude and apathetic towards me upon arrival and checked us into a different room than the one I had booked and paid for (put in a standard room which was quite small and noisy instead of a superior suite). It wasn't until later that evening that I re-checked the paperwork detailing what was supposed to be in the room and confirmed that we had been put into the wrong room. When I visited the front desk the next morning the staff member I spoke to was very unhelpful and told me there were no rooms available to the standard I had booked and paid for but said that she would get in touch with Superbreak staff to investigate. Perhaps I was a bit impatient but I ended up contacting Superbreak when the offices opened and spoke to Sarah who was extremely apologetic and very helpful and ensured that she would resolve the issue ASAP. Amazingly later that morning the hotel confirmed that a superior room had become available and they would move us into the suite during the morning while we were out. Sarah also made sure that a complimentary bottle of champagne was delivered to apologise for our inconvenience. Overall the hotel was actually very nice and the staff everywhere else other than the check in desk were friendly and helpful. Overall the whole weekend was amazing and Rome exceeded my expectations...by the way she said yes!!

Short Visit to Rome

A customer  who stayed at 4* Domus Mariae Palazzo Carpegna in Rome wrote this review.

Stay Date: 17/02/13

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Hotel Domus Mariae Palazzo Carpegna was stunningly beautiful - like a mini Buckingham Palace. Garden view was beautiful. Breakfast varied and plentiful. Staff very helpful and polite.Out of the main town but easy access via the Metro. Visited all the main attractions in 3 days.Food and drink in the tourist areas (eg The Spanish Steps) very expensive (6 euros for a coffee) so try the back streets.Use the English speaking guides for the colosseum and Sistine Chapel. Expensive but worth it for their knowledge. Excellent flight with Monarch.

Girls Weekend in Rome

A customer from Leeds who stayed at 3* Brasile Hotel in Rome wrote this review.

Stay Date: 15/06/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

Myself and two of my girl friends stayed for 3 nights in Rome to visit our friend who lives out there. The Brasile Hotel was in a convenient location, just a 10 minute walk from Termini and Republica Metro stops. We also caught the 429 bus from outside the hotel that took us to Piazza Navona. This beautiful square with stunning Bernini fountains has a great atmosphere at night and is bustling with locals and tourists alike. A good tip for dinner is to walk down the side streets leading off the main square towards Campo di Fiori, as the restaurant prices overlooking the square are at a premium. Overall this hotel was the ideal base for our long weekend in Rome.
