A Perfect Mini-Break!

out of 5I booked the trip for a girlie werkend to celebrate my Mum's 60th. The overall experience was amazing. Hotel location, cleanliness & staff were fantastic. The beds were super comfy (& that at 6 months pregnant is an achievement!) & the breakfast delicious. Coupled with the price including return rail travel I can't fault the experience. The tube at great Portland street gave us easy access to all of our chosen attractions. The London eye was fabulous & as I'd booked through superbreak as part of my trip our queue time was cut dramatically, would defo recommend! Restaurant wise, Jamie's Italian was 1st class, delicious food at a fair price. Sophie's is an old favourite & although the steaks are expensive they're worth it plus there's lots of cheaper options on the menu. I also treat mum to cocktails in the sun on the roof terrace at 21 in covent garden, the happy hour there is a must!!Mamma Mia on Friday night was well worth a visit & tickets very reasonable. On reflection though the balcony seats were a false economy as view not great! The shops as always didn't disappoint, covent garden, regent street & Oxford street providing plenty of choice & shops like Cos, Zara & Mango which we don't have locally are an exciting browse. For myself, topshop Oxford street finally gave me the maternity wardrobe selection I desperately needed! We returned home yesterday happy, full of food, well rested with a ton of shopping.. All round success I'd say!!
