Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel was excellent with polite and helpful staff and a great breakfast. We went to the theatre in London, a bus runs regularly from outside the hotel into Reading where we caught the train into London. It only took about half an hour straight into Paddington station where we got on the tube to Charing Cross. We booked tickets to see 'All the Fun of the Fair' with David Essex and even managed to get his autograph and a photo which was lovely. We went to Covent Garden which is always colourful and entertaining. We visited the national gallery and saw for real 'sunflowers' by Van Gogh. The following day we went to Marlow-on-Thames which is beautiful, has little interesting shops and a great walk along the river. What a great weekend.

Legoland 2 Day Break

Stay Date: 12/08/10
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel was great, our car broke down while we were there, the staff took me to the garage and went out of their way to arrange alternative transport if needed to get to Legoland. I would highly recommend this hotel. Legoland was great, we had two fun days, I would buy the qbot next time, because the queues were long with up to 1 and 1/2 hours wait, a great place to visit for all ages.

Legoland Break

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5We have just returned from a 4 night break in which we incorporated a two day theme park trip to Legoland. We purchased the q-bot which cost us £10 each for the day but it was well worth it as it saved all the queues. It is only on certain rides but well worth it as we went back in the next day and had to queue for some of the rides we missed. As previous reviews had said there was wasps about but we experienced no problems. Food and drink was expensive so try and take your own. Even the bottles you can purchase for the day and have refills are more expensive here than alton towers and it is owned by the same group. We got the park and ride from Legoland into Windsor which was very reasonable at just under £5.00 for four of us and enjoyed a bus tour of the city which cost £20.00. Didn't go into the castle as we thought it was expensive at over £40.00. We stayed in the Millenium Hotel in Reading and this was an excellent base. We caught the bus outside the hotel which cost around £2.00 into Reading for the day which is a lovely place with some good shops. There is a pizza hut, kfc's and mcdonalds just down the road from the hotel. We had a standard family room and it was excellent and the breakfast was out of this world with lots to pick from although we did go mid week so it was not a buffet. The only downside was the jacuzzi which wasn't working for one of the days and even when it was fixed we had to ask someone from the health club to set it off for us as did a lot of other people. All in all we had a great time and a good stay in an excellent hotel which I would recommend.
