Take the train to the traditional British seaside resort of Torquay, a vibrant and cheerful town. Set at the heart of the English Riviera on the South Devon Coast, Torquay is famous for its sandy beaches, seaside attractions and balmy climate. Torquay is also well-known as the location for the legendary comedy series Fawlty Towers. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the pier or promenade and take in the relaxed atmosphere. Make time to walk up the steps of Royal Terrace Gardens and enjoy the magnificent sea views across the bay. Animal lovers should pay a visit to Living Coasts (payable locally), Torquay's award-winning coastal zoo and aquarium which is home to an array of marine life from around the world.Read more
After a hearty breakfast why not take a train ride to the idyllic town of St Austell on the south Cornwall coast. One of the must-visit attractions here is the Eden Project (add on before you travel) which is a half hour bus ride away. The Eden Project is a series of geodesic domes showcasing a variety of tropical plants including olives, grape vines and giant bamboo amid a humid, rainforest environment. When you’ve finished exploring, take the bus back to St Austell before heading back to Bristol. On the way, find some time to pop into the St Austell Brewery next to the railway station. You can take a tour of the brewery or just enjoy one of their real ales in the tap room.Read more
On your final full day of your fun filled trip why not visit Newquay for a relaxing day at the beach. Newquay has some of the best beaches in the UK and boats some of the best surf. The high street stretches the entire length of the town and is dotted with individual and specialist local shops, restaurants and cafes as well as national names all mixed in with surf shops and boutiques to enjoy. Take a long walk along the Newquay beaches and enjoy some fresh sea air – the perfect way to end to a busy itinerary.Read more

Time Restrictions: Rail tickets are available for travel on trains timed to depart after 09:00am Mondays to Fridays and at any time on weekends and bank holidays.
Using your ticket: Tickets are valid for 3 days within a 7 day period. When a passenger needs to validate a ticket, the date of travel should be completed in black ink using numerical values only for 'Day' and 'Month' e.g. 07 09 for travel from 7th September. The ticket will need validating before the first journey of the first day of travel.
