Superbreak Seeks to Drive More Agent Bookings via the Web as it Switches Off Viewdata30 January 2007
On 31 January 2007, Superbreak switched off its Viewdata booking facility with immediate effect. In recent months less than 5% of all bookings were transacted via Viewdata which has led the operator to focus on its other two booking mechanisms.
Over half of agent bookings are now transacted via www.superbreak.com/agents and Superbreak thinks this is likely to increase to over 70% by the end of 2007. Over 95% of all Superbreak product is available to agents via its website and all at the same price as are made available to the public directly. Alternatively agents can continue to book through telephone reservations.
Ian Mounser, sales director at Superbreak comments “This is a natural progression for us and something we have been planning. To ensure continued growth online, further significant enhancements are planned to our agents website during the year in terms of look, content and functionality.”
