Superbreak Adds New Destinations & More Self Catering Properties... 28 September 2006

Superbreak has launched the first edition of its ‘Beach Hotels and Self Catering In Europe and Beyond’ 2007 brochure, featuring new destination such as the Cape Verde Islands, the Azores, Bahamas and Thailand. The programme has been expanded by 10%, bringing the total number of properties now featured to 692 in over 200 resorts (plus a further 240 online) with increased focus being given to the self-catering market. Overall prices lead in at £3.75pppn at the two star Golden Orange II Apartments in Marmaris, Turkey.
New Destinations – Thailand now features under the ‘Far and Away’ section with four resorts available including Pattaya, Koh Samui, Phuket and Krabi. Prices lead in at £15.25pppn at the three star Andaman Holiday Resort in Krabi on a b/b basis next summer. Also new are the Cape Verde Islands which can now be reached directly from the UK. Prices lead in at £20.75pppn at the three star Pontao Hotel on the island of Sal on a b/b basis over the winter. Following the announcement of new direct flights for the UK, the Azores are now available with three properties featured on the main island of Sao Miguel. Prices lead in at £29.75pppn at the three star Terra Nostra Garden Hotel on a b/b basis in winter 06/7. For sun lovers, the Bahamas are featured with prices starting from just £51.75pppn at the three star Viva Fortuna Beach on South Bahama Island on an all inclusive basis.
New Resorts – new resorts have been added to existing destinations, many linked to new route announcements from key carriers. These include Calella (Costa Brava), Vale do Poco (Algarve), Canico (Madeira), Ermones, Agios Ioannis Peristeron, Kanioni and Kontakali (all Corfu), Kermasti, Ladiko and Kalithea (all Rhodes), Olu Deniz (Turkey), Agadir (Morocco), Taba (Egypt)and Sharjah (UAE). A stay at the four star all Inclusive Holiday Taba Resort in Taba costs from just £20pppn b/b in May and June 07.
More Self-Catering – Due to demand from agents, one third of the new programme is now self catering properties and the lastest brochure features a new price panel for agents that clearly shows minimum and maximum occupancies.
More Choice – Key destinations continue to feature a good range for agents to match to varying customer needs. Majorca offers a choice of 93 properties with 49 in Greece and 40 on the French Riviera. Due to demand, the operator has increased the number of properties in key clubbing resorts such as Magaluf, San Antonio, Laganas, Faliraki and Bodrum. A stay at the two star Kensington Apartments on Magaluf costs from £9.75pppn s/c in May 07.
