2011 is lining up to be an amazing year in London’s West End with an array of hot new shows set to open including Shrek the Musical, the Wizard of Oz and Ghost the Musical. GHOST THE MUSICAL – One of the biggest grossing films ever comes to London’s West end in June 2011 and has just gone on sale. A world-class creative team has adapted the Academy Award winning film for the stage with new music and lyrics by Grammy Award winning artist Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard. A special illusion team will ensure that the audiences will believe all over again as the story of Sam, Molly and Ode mae Brown come to life at the Picadilly Theatre. WIZARD OF OZ - An eagerly anticipated new addition to London's West End, The Wizard of Oz promises to be the biggest theatre event of the year when it opens at the London Palladium in February 2011. Michael Crawford has just been announced to star as The Wizard in this ne production alongside Danielle Hope who captured the hearts of the country when she won the BBC’s smash hit Over The Rainbow. Michael, internationally renowned for originating the title role in The Phantom of the Opera and loved by millions for his role as the hapless Frank Spencer in the classic British sitcom, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. They will be joined by Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and Dorothy’s little dog Toto who are yet to be announced.
