Superbreak Reports Demand For London Breaks Up 39% 26 August 2009
Superbreak reports sales of London breaks through agents are up 39% in the last 16 weeks (May – to date) compared to the same period last year, booking over 75,000 customers to the Capital during that period. Although average booking values are down slightly due to the wide range of great offers currently available, they are still over £350 per booking offering agents excellent earning potential. The news comes as the operator launches its second edition London programme featuring a range of new product to ensure agents have all the latest attractions and hotels to sell.
Ian Mounser, sales director at Superbreak comments; ‘’The market for London hotel breaks from UK residents is massive, certainly as big as the top five European cities put together. Any agent who’s not permanently pushing London breaks to their customer base right now is missing a big trick. With elements such as rail travel, theatres, concerts, attractions and tours all bookable and fully commissionable to agents, in addition to the hotel, the opportunities to dynamically package a London break are endless. And of course Superbreak London packages are fully bonded, with Superbreak always acting as the Principal.”
