A Short Break In Edinburgh – The Festival City!15 June 2009
Superbreak promotes Edinburgh Tattoo Packages
The Edinburgh Tattoo and Edinburgh Festival takes place this August against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and what better time to spend a weekend in the Scottish Capital. Each year, thousands of people flock to Edinburgh to participate in the biggest arts festival in the world and enjoy the traditional pageantry as 600 musicians and horses take part in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This year is the 60th season and also pays tribute to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns.
This year, short break specialist Superbreak (www.superbreak.com) is for the first time featuring two night weekend breaks (previously only three nights) for those who want to spend just a couple of nights in the city. Alongside tickets to the Tattoo, the package also includes a souvenir copy for each person of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2009 Official Programme and a 20% discount voucher to be used on goods to the value of £20 or more in the official Edinburgh Tattoo shop. One and three night packages are also available.
There will be ample time to enjoy some of the wide range of shows at The International and Fringe festivals, or just soak in the glorious atmosphere of the city at this time. There are still packages available and with so much include this is a great way to get the most out of a visit to Edinburgh.
Sample packages still available include:
TWO NIGHT WEEKEND PACKAGE - £259 per person - Prices start from £259 per person to include two night’s bed and full breakfast accommodation starting on Friday 7, 14, 21 or 28 August at the four star Holiday Inn Edinburgh, a third price ticket to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on the Saturday evening at 10.30pm.
