‘Staycation’ With Superbreak21 July 2008
Superbreak lines up ideas for the new holiday buzz word this summer!
There’s a hot new trend in travel being talked about this week – the ‘Staycation’. This means swapping your traditional family ‘vacation’ overseas for a stay at home or in the UK. As families begin to feel the affects of the credit crunch, it is thought that more people will opt for day trips and short breaks.
Ray Jones, marketing director at Superbreak comments “Already a buzz word in America, it is now thought that we will see a similar trend in the UK. As families tighten their belts it is likely that we may see more and more people opting to take breaks on home turf. Nobody wants to miss out on their holiday. Fortunately the UK has an enormous range of short break options and prices are starting to fall.”
